Tour of the South? Yes, Please!

The past 5 days, I have traveled with Emily O. Holmes to Yazoo City, MS, Pensacola, FL, and Birmingham, AL. The welcoming, loving, food-filled embrace we received in each city were nothing short of AH-MazIng! Not only do those gals know how to host a party, but their friends! and family! = Oh My Gosh!

Some of the below items are still available for purchase. These are pix from Yazoo City:

Here We Go!

Emily O. Holmes Stationery and EBL Letterpress+Design are hittin' the road! This week, we are heading south to Yazoo City, Mississippi, then to Pensacola, Florida, then stopping in Birmingham on the way home to Nashville. If you live in or near any of these cities, feel free to contact us to see when and where we are showing! Here is a map, courtesy of MS paint (bringin it back!) showing our circuit. And don't worry, none of our wares were developed in MS paint.

Letterpress Definition (from wikipedia):
{Letterpress printing is relief printing of text and image using a press with a "type-high bed" printing press and movable type, in which a reversed, raised surface is inked and then pressed into a sheet of paper to obtain a positive right-reading image. It was the normal form of printing text from its invention by Johannes Gutenberg in the mid-15th century until the 19th century and remained in wide use for books and other uses until the second half of the 20th century. In addition to the direct impression of inked movable type onto paper or another receptive surface, letterpress is also the direct impression of inked printmaking blocks such as photo-etched zinc "cuts" (plates), linoleum blocks, wood engravings, etc., using such a press.}

So basically, it's an inked impression in or on paper or other textiles. I will be sharing some of the work I'm doing here, and also make my little business known to others who might be interested in letterpress. Enjoy!
